The Career Advantage Programme is a remarkable scheme that draws on parents, business sponsors, work placed mentors and the school.
The scheme draws on the Learning Trusts commitment to integrating Self Directed learning and school work. Each student makes a commitment to study independently from the school with the support of the mentor and business sponsor. This is a truly remarkable example of how the world of work creates very strong preparation for the students as they undergo meaningful transition from school into adulthood and the world of work. It is further supported by a well managed and ordered set of work placements in holidays to ensure the tangible relationship between vocational study and work placement is maximised.
